I love meeting up with mentees after summer break. This one was cautious. Slumped in the chair. He was obviously thinner – and weary looking. Was it relational? Was it scholastic? I wondered. Minutes went by talking about assignments and updates… Then Tears. “I think I am a homosexual.” No words to answer. A hug instead.
