Pre-rounding, I would examine the tape on his
chunky cheeks that held in place a NG and ET
tube. The botulism made a swaddle
unnecessary, but I still worried if he was cold
in the PICU.
At home, I remember him as I look at my
daughter’s untapped chunky cheeks, comfy in
her swaddle.
