Morbidity and Mortality Conference

It’s that time of the month
A liar’s poker
Sweat on the brow of the presenter
How to tell the story?
Not all complications are equal
Some “can’t be helped”; others are “indefensible”
Depends on who committed the error.
Blame rolls down hill
Anesthesia, junior faculty, fellow, resident,
Oh no, only me left to blame!
