Good Morning Sweet Girl

Golden eyes open, unseeing
But I know
She knows it’s me.
I lift the blanket quickly
Soft legs uncovered
Yet covered
Blood thinner bruises.
Last night was a fever night
I don’t know why.
Endless labs only offer more questions.
Her veins resist, refuse.
I only wish for more answers;
Sweet girl deserves them all.
