Ashlynn is a PGY-1 Emergency medicine resident with goals of pursuing a career in rural emergency medicine or critical care (or both). Her journey to medicine started by joining the military followed by changing her undergraduate degree 4 times before finally deciding on becoming a physician. Being a first-generation college student from a smaller town in North Pole, Alaska brought about many trials and errors on this journey. Part of this journey included a love for art, ranging from painting, drawing, carving, and every now and then some creative writing.
