You’re the One – The air we breathe

Artist note: Video is soundless, view in full screen.  Multiple viewings maybe necessary.

A digital video presenting the findings as reported in the research paper Acute effects of air pollutants on spontaneous pregnancy loss: a case-crossover study* in the journal Fertility and Sterility, published by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Oct. 26, 2018.

This series of images and video guide the viewer to imagine the joy of expecting parents, who suddenly go through a pregnancy loss. Using simple programming-like wording of procedural functions, the two scenes, followed by a quote and a final slide with the births and miscarriages summary table, asks a question. What price are we willing to pay for a prosperous community?
