Bio: I am a board-certified family physician. I started my career as an officer in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS), serving in a rural community for 9 years. I completed a 20-year career with the USPHS by accepting additional assignments. I retired from the USPHS to accept a faculty position in the U of U SOM where I worked and taught for 12.5 years. I was recruited to work at the Utah Department of Health (UDOH), where I served as a Division Director for 8.5 years, and as the Deputy Director for 4 years.
