My heart is empty
My soul is tired
My body weighs me down

I can’t learn enough
I can’t do enough
I can’t ever be enough

But I walk into your room anyway
I force a smile anyway
I open my heart to you and try, anyway

And you are full of hope
You are full of trust
And together we make you full of life

Now I have strength again
I can dream again
I can help again

Thank you for healing me
While I try to heal you
Together we may be well
