No food –
Stomach growls angrily.

Head pounds, something is wrong.
No sleep –
Mind begins to shut down.
No strength –
Arms shake under the strain.
No problem –
The surgery is over.

Samuel Chidi-Phúc Ahanonu is a student at the SFESOM Class of 2027. He has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah and has experience working in the medical device industry. His previous experiences as a Utah Lions’ Eye Bank Technician and an optician draw him to a career in ophthalmology. In his free time, he enjoys Latin dancing, playing sports (basketball, pickleball, tennis, skiing), and jam sessions.
