Shoes

You can tell a lot about people by looking at their shoes.
You can tell if they’re trendy, if they pay attention to fads.
You can tell if they make a decent amount of money or tend to be frugal.
You can tell pretty easily that they aren’t wearing any shoes at all.
You can tell that the locked ward has been their new home and family for the recent past.
You can tell that they are struggling through each day, trying to make sense of a new reality.
You can tell that it’s been several days since they’ve even been outside.
You can tell that they are shouldering a burden heavy enough to disrupt their entire life.
You can tell a lot about people by looking at their shoes.
