What’s Left

Imagine a box.
Quite a normal box.
Functional.
Once it did what all good boxes do.
It held things.
All sorts of things.
Now it is empty.
With potential… yes…
but currently empty.
Once it had sturdy walls.
Strong even.
Now they are thin and translucent.
Nothing sturdy about it.
A slight breeze would threaten to topple it over.
It is still a box. Right?
No it cannot hold a thing…
it cannot shield anything from the outside world.
But there are still 6 sides.
It still has a base and a lid that kind of closes.
So it’s still a box. Right?
A ghost of a box?
A shell of what it once was?
But still a box. Right?
I’m still a box…. right?
